WHAT IF I AM ON A RESTRICTIVE DIET, CAN I STILL ATTEND THE RETREAT?
THAT’S NO PROBLEM. PRIOR TO THE RETREAT, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO FILL OUT A FORM SO I CAN GET FULL DETAILS ON ANY POSSIBLE FOOD RESTRICTIONS, ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES THAT YOU MAY HAVE. WE WILL MAKE SURE THERE ARE OPTIONS FOR YOU BASED ON YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
WHAT TYPE OF FOOD WILL BE SERVED?
HEALTHY MEALS WILL BE SERVED THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND, FOCUSING ON WHOLESOME NUTRIENT DENSE FOODS. THE MEALS WILL BE FULL OF DELICIOUS FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, PROTEIN SOURCES, FRESH HERBS, WHOLESOME GRAINS, NUTS AND SEEDS. YOUR MEALS WILL BE FULL OF HEALTHY FATS, FIBER AND PROTEIN TO KEEP YOU FEELING ENERGIZED AND FULL. THERE WILL BE FRESH JUICES AND TEA WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY BETWEEN MEALS. WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
BRING YOUR YOGA MAT, YOGA CLOTHES AND ANY OTHER YOGA GEAR YOU NEED. BRING RUNNING SHOES AND WORKOUT CLOTHES FOR OUR WORKOUTS, SOME WARM CLOTHES DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER. LASTLY, BRING A JOURNAL TO REFLECT IN AFTER YOUR YOGA CLASSES OR MEDITATIONS AND SO YOU CAN TAKE NOTES DURING THE WORKSHOPS.
WHAT TYPE OF YOGA IS IT? IS IT BEGINNER FRIENDLY?
ABSOLUTELY, ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME ON THE RETREAT. I WILL BE TEACHING CLASSES EACH DAY WHICH INCORPORATES A FLOW AS WELL AS RELAXING RESTORATIVE YOGA IN THE EVENING. THE MEDITATION CLASS OF COURSE ALSO WELCOMES ALL LEVELS. IF YOU’VE NEVER DONE MEDITATION BEFORE, NO PROBLEM, THIS IS THE PERFECT WAY TO EXPERIENCE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME.
WHAT WILL THE NUTRITION WORKSHOP COVER?
WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THE SECRETS TO HEALTHY DIGESTION AND HAPPY HORMONES, HOW TO FUEL YOUR BODY FOR WORKOUTS AND HOW TO REPLENISH POST WORKOUT, AND THE EMOTIONAL MESSAGES OF FOODS AND EMOTIONAL TRIGGERS.
WHAT WILL THE MINDSET WORKSHOP COVER?
WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THE IMPORTANCE OF EMOTIONAL, MENTAL, PHYSICAL + SPIRITUAL CONNECTION FOR OVERALL VITALITY. HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT YOUR BODY TO HEAL AND ATTAIN THE GOALS AND DESIRES YOU SET FOR YOURSELF TO CREATE THE BEST LIFE YOU CAN LIVE. WE WILL BE COVERING HOW TO SET INTENTIONS, HOW TO CHANGE OUR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES, & HOW TO RESTORE BALANCE TO YOUR SELF, WORK, PURPOSE, RELATIONSHIPS AND HEALTH.

HOW FAR OF A DRIVE IS IT FROM OTTAWA?
BOTH LOCATIONS ARE APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR FROM DOWNTOWN OTTAWA. DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE SENT OUT TWO WEEKS PRIOR WITH THE REST OF THE RETREAT DETAILS.
WHAT ARE THE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS?
DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION MOST ARE ALL SHARED BUT SPACIOUS BEDROOMS. HOWEVER IS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ALONE I AM SURE THAT CAN BE ARRANGED. IF YOU ARE BOOKING WITH A FRIEND I WILL MAKE SURE YOU TWO ARE BUNKED TOGETHER. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON BOOKINGS AND I WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH YOU A FEW WEEKS PRIOR TO THE RETREAT WITH ALL THE DETAILS. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER REQUESTS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AHEAD OF TIME AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO ACCOMMODATE YOU.
